Black Rabbit Summer by Kevin BrooksBrooks has created a gritty mystery. A group of childhood friends get together one last time. The night becomes filled with past regrets and rivalries, drugs, strange new relationships, and mysterious appearances and disappearances. By the next day, one girl is dead and fingers are pointed at Pete, the son of a police officer. The mystery takes some very weird twists and turns. What is real? What is imaged? This book left me hanging.

I found it tedious. Too much droning on and on, and Brooks' characters often sound like each other from novel to novel.
