Three friends are short busfare, and take some coins from a wishing well. The witch of the well demands that they fulfill the wishes made by the people who threw those coins in the well. But should all wishes be granted? Sometimes people don't realize what they're really wishing for.
Two of the teens decide that this must stop - the third decides he enjoys having extra power and wants more. But none of the characters are greatly developed and the story jumps around as they find people with wishes. Some research done by one of the characters tells us that the story is based on a legend about Mother Leathertongue, a demon.
