Conor witnesses the murder of the king, and is thrown in prison as a traitor. He is kept in the lunatic wing and sent to mine diamonds on a prison island. He believes his family must hate him. Only his dreams of flying keep him going until he manages to escape. Then he must use his flying machines to save the kingdom.
This fast-paced adventure features inventions, princesses, murder, duplicity, danger, martial arts and swordplay. The main character not only survives, he achieves his dreams and rescues a kingdom.
